About Us

Ruth in the WorkshopI (Ruth) have been a picture framer for nearly 20 years (sometimes seems a lot longer!). In April 2000 I became a 'Guild Commended Framer' from the 'Fine Art Trade Guild', which means that the quality of my picture framing has to maintain certain standards, especially with valuable items and I use only conservation quality mountboards and materials.

I frame almost anything, from little Johnny's first attempts to War medals, from single stamps to 8 foot long puzzles of 10,000 pieces (I don't particularly wish to do another...) and lots of pieces of needlework. I give free quotes and advice, so if you are visiting do bring any framing requirements with you (I usually work to a turn-around of one week, but miracles can often be done - especially with a bit of grovelling).

Rosy (also a talented artist herself) has come to work for me - a much needed extra pair of hands, and together we run the workshop and gallery. We show many local artists' work, mainly concentrating on local scenes. Several of these we also publish and print ourselves as signed and numbered limited edition prints here in the gallery on a very impressive 'Gicleé' printer - thus making them exclusive too.

Inside the GalleryBut we don't just sell pictures and frames but now also have a range of gifts (including some antique and collectable bits and pieces), greeting cards and wrapping paper.

We hope that this site sparks you with interest and maybe even a visit from you if you are passing this way. Glastonbury, of course, is a truly amazing place to see at any time. If you do manage to make it here do pop in and say 'hi', or if you want to know anything else feel free to e-mail, or for a more direct response then phone us during shop hours.

We look forward to hearing from you!
