Local artist from Shepton Mallet here in Somerset who works mainly with oils on canvas in large scale, creating vibrant and rich paintings of landscapes and flowers.

'Growing up in Somerset's countryside gave me a deep spiritual awareness, love and respect for nature. Often my paintings are based on memories from this time.

I started painting in oils at the age of 13 and am a mix of being trained, but mostly self taught. My main interest is in capturing the essence and character of my chosen subjects.

I find myself trying new techniiques and colour combinations both inspiring anf challenging.'
