The Anonymous Art Show 2019

Saturday 31st August to Saturday 21st September 2019

We are now in the fourth year of organizing this fabulous exhibition and as we will be taking a break next year, we are aiming even higher this year with an even more spectacular show.

This year we have combined both canvasses (as last year) AND mounted, glazed and framed pictures (as in the two years prior) - the artists have been able to choose the best format to suit their work, so in theory, everyone can participate! All mediums are be included; photography, prints, watercolours, acrylics, drawings, textiles, etchings, mosaics and pretty well anything else that will fit the restrictions given.

As always, this is an ‘anonymous’ art show, the artist will only be revealed after the picture has been purchased therefore freeing the purchaser from the bias of artists’ recognition. Each picture will be priced at £49.00 making it a very affordable way to start or add to your own collection.

This year we have 120 artists entering a total of 261 pictures – all of which are on display from the start of the exhibition. However, as pictures are sold the display will gradually lessen – a good incentive to see them as soon as possible!
The standard of work this year has been exceptional and we at Glastonbury Galleries would like to take this opportunity to thank all the artists for helping to make it so spectacular.

We shall be taking a break from putting on this exhibition next year, but hope to be back again for 2021! We shall certainly miss it (not perhaps all the administration that goes with it…) and hope that all you amazing artists out there will want to participate in the future. Watch this website and our Facebook page in the spring of 2021 for all information.

All the photographs here are from this year’s 2019 exhibition.
